Goals:

To inform the University of Minnesota Residence Hall tenants and the rest of the U of M students of the acts of the Networking and Telecommunications Services's actions to restrict residence hall tenants of bandwidth without notification.
Our sincerest thanks go out to Mark Yudof and Steven Cawley (for their quick responses), and to the rest of the visitors to this site for raising awareness to this issue. We are glad to have some closure after all of the events of the past few weeks, and would like to take this moment to state that we truly had no malicious intent by creating this website and documenting all of the information that we could aquire. We found it to be of utmost importance to uncover the reasons behind the network problems and create a forum to have the information displayed freely for any interested party to have access to. We realize that the disclosure of the restrictions upon and unstable nature of the University's network over the past few weeks may have irritated or offended some, but as we said before it is important for us all to know as much about the matter as possible, and to be able to raise awareness to such a matter. To do so would violate the fundamental basis of this University.

The information available on this website will remain available either until hits to this site decrease to a minimal amount or the end of this semester, which ever come first. Happy viewing!
